The funnel-abandon journey

The biggest confirmed volume in the lifecycle with no journey gets a product-first fix and one owned recovery: the bid screen itself answers the fears that stall completion, each abandon step gets an in-session answer, and one next-day message per episode answers the abandoner's exact objection, timed after the strong unaided recovery rather than on top of it.

This journey’s strategy
Customers who stall at the bid are not short of interest, they are short of confidence. Build it at the moment of doubt: the screen answers first, one message answers the rest.
  1. Four leak points we own: the search results, the price, the bid amount, and the confirm screen.
  2. The product answers first: the bid screen resolves the doubt in the session it appears.
  3. One next-day message per episode answers the exact objection, timed after the strong unaided recovery.
The CRM brief: every comms change, today beside proposed
▶ Watch the customer experienceOpen full screen

The film of this journey as the customer receives it: every segment, path and channel state, with the change and the evidence at each moment. The static walkthrough below carries every change in full beside its evidence.

The static walkthrough

The same journey with every moment on screen at once: each change, its evidence and its full logic, moment by moment below.

Two live gaps sit under this journey: content-card impressions and clicks register zero (the no-channel cohort's only surface is unreadable), and alert registrations never land in the warehouse (the watch base cannot be counted). The detail, with the plumbing asks: the Engineering brief.

The D pins: the data the changes need

The pins on the walkthrough above mark the data each change needs, coloured by the sort of ask: COMPUTED TRAIT · ANALYTICS APP AND JOURNEY OWNED NEW EVENT · ENGINEERING BUILDS EXISTS · PIPE TO BRAZE READY · NOTHING TO BRIEF. Tap any pin, anywhere in the pack, for what it is. The full contracts live on the Engineering brief, the computed traits on the Analytics brief.

Who walks through this journey

The volumes behind the walk: how many customers take it, split by who they are and what we can reach them on. These numbers prioritise what gets built first.

Six-month average: searched or added a trip, then no bid or buy-now within 30 days. Well over a third are unreachable by any marketing channel, which is why the in-app answer carries this journey. Source: Analytics (Ivi), 2 Sep 2026.
